The concept of "Pick-Me-Ups" for ECU Health - Edgecombe, where everything is themed in sunshine yellow, was a brilliant idea to bring some warmth and cheer to the Emergency Department. The color yellow is often associated with positivity, energy, and happiness, making it the perfect choice for creating a welcoming and uplifting environment for staff. From yellow drinks to bright yellow flowers and accessories, incorporating this sunny hue throughout the department hopefully helped boost morale and create a more positive atmosphere. By infusing the Emergency Department with the color of sunshine, Pilots can deliver smiles and appreciation during times of stress and uncertainty.

The vision of the Pick-Me-Up program is to promote the needs of caregivers by providing random acts of kindness for their meaningful deeds. Caregivers are a remarkable group of people who provide services to others throughout the world and we wish to recognize their contributions to our communities, both locally with the Pilot Club of Tarboro, and internationally with Pilot Clubs around the world. Pilot International stands poised to positively impact the lives of countless individuals around the globe and promote awareness for the demands and challenges faced every day.
