Blue for someone who has Alzheimer's or dementia, yellow for supporting or caring with someone Alzheimer's or dementia, purple for having lost someone to this disease, and orange to support the cause and vision of a world without Alzheimer's.

Tarboro Pilots made a team sign and wore green Pilot International aprons, answering questions about PI, and explaining the ABC's of Pilot: Youth Leadership, Brain Health, and Caring for Caregivers.

Carrying the sign, flowers, and purple streamers, Pilots walked 1.26 miles. As of publishing, the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer's - Triangle (Raleigh-Durham), NC raised $417,725 of the $550,000 goal, reaching 76%!
About Pilot and the Walk to End Alzheimer's
The Alzheimer's Association® is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Founded in 1980 by a group of family caregivers and individuals interested in research, the Alzheimer's Association® provides care and support to all those facing Alzheimer’s and other dementia; drives research toward treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure; and advocates to improve the lives of all those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.
While there is no fee to register for a Walk, all participants are encouraged to raise critical funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support and advance research toward methods of prevention, treatment and, ultimately, a cure.
Pilot International’s mission is to influence positive change in communities throughout the world. To do this, we come together in friendship and service, focusing on encouraging brain safety and health and supporting those who care for others.
As such, partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association is a natural fit. This disease attacks the brain and affects more than 6 million Americans and their families.
